Have you had lasik surgery?

This is my first time using this site so forgive me if I do anything wrong. I am scheduled to have LASIK on Wednesday and I am still a little apprehensive about the whole thing. When I had the consultation the doctor said that it wouldn't hurt but I am still a little worried. The part that worries me the most is the flap part. This basically terrifies me. How can cutting off part of your eye not hurt? I am scared to death thinking about this. I am 22 years old but have worn gles since I was 9 and contacts since I was 15. I am sick of the whole thing so I do want to have the procedure, but that doesn't stop me from being nervous. If some of you who have had it can go a little more in depth about what it feels like and what happens that would be great! Thanks again for helping out a newbie!
