How do you get the chance to job shadow?

well the thing is, I want to job shadow an optometrist but throughout my visual health, I've only seen ophthalmologists and I cannot shadow them due to confidental issues. So I was wondering how would I go about getting a chance to job shadow an optometrist if I have never actually met one. Thanks.
