Cat sneezing, eye discharge, but not contagious?!?

It's pretty common for cats to get respiratory problems every now and then and they usually clear up on their own but I guess maybe hers didn't... you're probably right that they'll just give her an anitbiotic and maybe an ointment for her eyes if they think it's infected.
